Pest Control Insulation
- SAFE: This product is 85% natural cellulose fiber injected with fire retardant material that strengthens the fibers providing permanent flam resistance. This product does NOT contain fiberglass, formaldehyde, or other materials associated with increased health concerns. It meets the ASTM C739 and E84 standards requirements. It is safe for application with being non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-irritating, and fire retardant. It meets or exceeds ASTM C739-08 tests for odor emission and fungi resistance.
- GREEN: Cellulose insulation is considered one of the greenest building materials in the world today comprised of mostly recycled paper with 100% of the product used without waste and is ENERGY STAR® certified.
- PEST CONTROL: The cellulose insulation includes borates, which help control insects (and other arthropods) and is intended to prevent infestations where applied. When insects encounter the product, it can kill Cockroaches, Termites, Ants, Silverfish, Earwigs, Crickets, Sowbugs, Darkling Beetles, Millipedes, Centipedes, Booklice and more. It is not intended as sole protection against termites.
- KEEPS IT QUIET: Provides superior sound attenuation because it is blown in. The custom fit eliminates acoustical shortcuts created by batt insulation (gaps and voids around cavities and around obstacles such as plumbing, air ducts, and wiring).

- ENERGY SAVINGS: It helps buildings stay warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer by effectively controlling all three methods of heat transfer: convective, conductive, and radiant. Research at universities and national laboratories has proven that cellulose insulation can provide up to 50% better performance than fiberglass. Adding Pest Control Insulation to the attic saves homeowners up to 30% on their annual energy bill. See the U.S. Department of Energy’s formula to determine the potential savings on your energy bill at www.energystar.gov.
- REBATES: Many local, state, and federal programs provide rebates for adding Pest Control Insulation as an energy-efficient upgrade made to your home. When considering if a rebate is applicable or beneficial, seek advice from your preferred financial advisor or tax professional.
